Important factors to consider when building a tiled pool.

When we say that the pool will be lined with tiles, we mean that it is done with (a) vitrified ceramic tile, or with (b) tile made of high strength ceramic material or with (c) mosaic with vitreous adhesive material or tesserae.

On the plus side, the tiles show an excellent resistance to pool chemicals, such as acids, to corrosion as well as to mechanical stress such as scratches. The mosaic type tile with vitreous adhesive material - tesserae has the advantage that it is perfectly applied both on flat and curved surfaces and eliminates bad workmanship. We make sure that the joints between the tiles are non-absorbent or even enamel or epoxy joints. Also important is the size of the joint, which in ordinary tiles must be more than 4mm.
